Drown Without Water

Overview

I don’t know why I’m so nervous
I guess it’s ‘cause I don’t know just
How deep you’ll go below the surface
Or what you’ll find in the damage and dust.

There’s plenty of shipwrecks and shallows
But the depths hide their darkest of days
The light that shines off of the gallows
I’ve lost Isn’t real isn’t true anyways.

Only I could drown without water
Softly cry, gasping for air
Only I could fall from rock bottom
Even if I knew you were there.

I don’t know if I’ll be nervous
If I let you into the waves
I’ve not made it easy on purpose to see
If you’ll fight, if you’ll swim, if you’ll stay
I can’t be blamed if you choose
To jump in of your own accord
The sirens and urchins hiding and lurking
Are much my own fears as they’re yours.

Only I could drown without water
Softly cry, gasping for air
Only I could fall from rock bottom
Even if I knew you were there.
And you could be the best
Be the worst be the right one
And I could be the best
Be the worst be the right one
It’s not right.

Only I could drown without water
Softly cry, gasping for air
Only I could fall from rock bottom
Even if I knew you were there.
